Hello Everyone, I am Ian!
I am a 13-year-old kid from a quiet suburb called Morton Grove, Illinois. Though I was born in the bustling city of Houston, Texas, I’ve spent the majority of my life growing up here in Morton Grove. It’s a peaceful place, full of friendly faces, where the community feels like an extended family.
I am a curious soul, always inclined towards problem-solving and creativity. My love for mathematics fuels my ambition to become an engineer someday. I enjoy the practical application of theories and the sense of accomplishment that comes from creating something tangible. I’m eager to use my future engineering skills to innovate and make the world a better place.
Outside of academics, I wear several hats. I have earned a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, something I am incredibly proud of. It has not only instilled discipline and respect in me but also taught me the art of self-defense and the power of perseverance.
In addition, I am fortunate to play the clarinet for the ParkView School Band. The soothing sound of the clarinet and the joy of playing in harmony with others never fails to lift my spirits. It’s an experience that has enriched me, teaching me cooperation and teamwork.
On top of this, I am also a member of the Chicago Stars Soccer Team. The exhilaration of the game, the adrenaline rush, and the camaraderie among teammates is an experience I cherish. Soccer taught me the importance of strategy, quick thinking, and sportsmanship.
During the COVID-19 lockdown, like many others, I found solace and joy in the simplicity of card games. Playing countless rounds with my little sister and parents, I found myself enthralled by the strategic elements, the unpredictability, and the fun of the games.
However, I also noticed some games were complex to learn or had lengthy setups. As I thought about these challenges, an idea began to take shape in my mind. What if there was a card game that was not only engaging and strategic but also quick to set up and easy to learn?
This led me to create Shuffle Tussle, a strategic card battle game. It’s a product of my passion for strategy, fun, and simplicity, combined into one exciting package. I am thrilled to bring Shuffle Tussle to life, and I can’t wait for you all to enjoy it.
